Brilliant use of extra paper strips & color swatches!

One of my most favorite things to do is make gift tags! I keep all the strips of off-cut paper "just in case" I need them for card or tag making and I also love to mix and test watercolors. This class was the perfect combination of using my scraps and playing with color! It was so much fun playing with watercolor "blooms" and testing out my regular and metallic gouache!

I plan to do some larger samples of plaid designs so that I can use a circle cutter (which I think I'm getting for Christmas!). I always have tags on hand for gifts and these are so bright and bubbly, they will be a cheery addition to gifts! Thanks for the inspiration, Anne!

I played some more with color in plaid designs, cut them out with my square cutter and used metallic markers to write messages and make small tags! And, I added messages to a couple of the color swatch tags which was fun! I think I can even use the off-cut frame that is leftover and glue it in my journal to frame some small sketches. No paper going to waste! This was a very fun experiment on an "indoorsy" winter day when we are completely iced in with winter weather!
