Hi everyone!

I started my project with a sketch, using a reference photo of a bicycle to make sure I got all the bike parts right and in their proper place. It’s good thing I did that because if you caught that in class— In the sketch video I actually forgot to draw my bike chain!

So here’s the initial sketch:

Next, I painted the bike and the rider in bright, cheerful colors. While working through this step, I also took time to style the bike with a nostalgic look. I designed the rider with a joyful expression to capture the feeling of enjoying the ride.
Finally I brought the illustration to life with vibrant elements to create a sense of motion.
