I created this flat-style floral illustration for my latest German class:

I was able to create a more detailed composition by relying on simplified shapes at first. I follow this technique for all of my illustrations, just like this illustration below. Btw, I am explaining in detail how I plan such compositions (in English) in one of my latest YouTube videos:
