Blue-footed Booby
I wrote the style questions in the front page of a new journal and my own answers. Then I started with grey, water based charcoal circles like stars as that was what I felt like. Then reminded myself of the style manifesto and made a massive, colourful flower which was much more cheery. Then noticed that the paint had leaked through to the back of the paper and there were squiggles on the next page. So I did more squiggles of my own on a couple of pages (repetition) and then converted each squiggle to a cartoon type person. I copied a photo of a blue- footed booby but instead of being inspired to work at improving or changing it or practising drawing more birds (sorry about that) I was inspired to quickly draw a marine iguana and a giant tortoise as that would tell the rest of story of the Galapagos Islands. I used inktense pastels (which were new to me) felt tip brushes and watercolour pens and a fine line ink pen.
