Hi Friends! I hope your self portraits are coming along well. I wanted to share the self portrait I took for this course. I called this self portrait “Blossom” because I feel like that’s the season of live I’m currently in. Taking on new opportunities and challenges as an artist and growing from them. Putting this course together was definitely a challenge, but to see what I was able to produce makes it all worth it! 

 

Here was the mood board for the project. I knew I wanted to showcase flowers in the shot because they would symbolize the "blossoming" I felt that I am currently doing in my life. I knew that I also wanted the tones in the image to be greenish and pinkish as well as those colors are complementary. I wanted my eyes to peek over or through the flowers as well.
