BLUE LOVE my first cyanotypes

BLUE LOVE my first cyanotypes - image 1 - student projectBLUE LOVE my first cyanotypes - image 2 - student projectOne of several of my very BLUE LOVE my first cyanotypes - image 3 - student project first cyanotype. I made after watching your fantastic classes. My favourite is from a Negative I Created from a photo I took on my iPhone last spring. A bright orange butterfly landed on the bright pink flower.

Another of a negative of my grevillea flower. The 2 others are flowers I foraged and collected and gave some exquisite mauves in the exposure. My day light was cloud covered and challenging. All on professional watercolour paper.
I also trialled on hemp cloth and paper.

The hemp cloth were with negatives I created however the ink ran so we’re very abstract . The original photos were of flannel flower and a statue of a Cupid.

I did wash the hemp cloth twice to lighten the print the second wash was with some bicarbonate soda added to gain more contrasts.

BLUE LOVE my first cyanotypes - image 4 - student projectI also tried a shed snake skin, which was really effective and translucent and some very solid 3 D shells which were quite ethereal and I loved .
