I loved using negative painting for this sweet gum leaf. This picture includes the leaf I used as a reference. I tried to deepen the color, but it bled and I just tried to work with that. I’ll come back to it later and maybe finish shadows, lifting, and glazing. I left out the dew drop.

I worked on it a bit more. Glazed red over the leaf and added splatters. This was fun!
