the sketchbook paper may not have been the most ideal surface, but it seemed to have enough tooth to work with my pastels (paper brand is Darwi, pastels were Rembrandt). Quite like how the dark blue worked out here with the oranges and reds, though I see over-blending certain colours is something to look out for. I can already tell I might want to get more white pastels or chalk if I get more into this, and that while working on a white paper surface, haha!
