Hello EJ, for someone who is new to drawing, this is an amazing result! 🍉 The highlights on the seeds look really nice, and the shape of the watermelon is well done too. The colors feel vibrant and fresh, which makes the piece fun to look at. To improve even more, you could try adding smoother blending and a bit more contrast between the light and shadow areas to give the watermelon more depth and dimension. Practicing softer transitions in the rind would also make it look even more realistic. Great job, and keep creating, you’re off to a wonderful start! ✨
