The Planet with an Invisible City Beneath the Ocean 

 

The planet Aquarian was 90% water and 10% land. It circled a dwarf star in the Cesero system.   The land was filled with mountain ranges, deserts, open plains, forests, and had a rich ecosystem.  The climate would be calm and warm, with little change.  The oceans themselves had a sentient presence, communicating with all their creatures and with the land itself. The days were 30 hours long.  There was frequent cloud cover covering much of the land.  The land-based water bodies were shallow and did not significantly affect the environment. There was one moon around the planet, filled with craters from meteorite impacts, and it could not sustain life like the planet's surface below.

Within the planet was the hidden city of Aquarium, which lay beneath the ocean's surface; it fed on the energy of its inhabitants to power its technology. In the town, the salt water was blocked by the external life force that kept it from flowing into the rich, luxurious city, filled with tall towers made of gold for the rich and shacks for the poor. Yet although the architecture was divided, the bubble itself protected the city from the influx of water.  Storms barely happened unless the ocean was angry, as it could stir up a storm in a flash. In the town, there were lights to light the way. The lights that were energized when the storms came, and the city stored up its energy.  All energy was created in that way.

The city was bustling with shops, schools, community engagement, and religious temples—a place of prayer but also of community and work.  There was a portal out of the bubble city to the ocean so the inhabitants could fish and catch their own food. A two-way door blocks the ocean water from entering and flooding the system.

In the center of the city was a giant water fountain fed by a system that converted salt water into fresh water, a place of beauty but also of substances.  The roads were made of stone, and the edge of the giant bubble was clear as the large ocean filled out all around. Off in the distance, you could see some land where another city lay.
