Action Photography

Thought process: Since the background is very neutral I increased the aperature to get the riders in the back in focus. To compensate for the higher aperture I raised the ISO to 400 to get a shutter speed of 1/600.

Thought process: The picture was taken from above to focus on the hitters face and the action at the net. Since I wanted both players to be in focus I slightly raised the aperture again. To get a good exposure with a fast shutter speed I increased the ISO to 400.

1/1100, F2.8, ISO 200, 140mm
Thought process:
Due to the uneven nature of the background I lowered the aperature to f2.8 to draw the attention the eye to the hitter. By shooting at a high focal length I wanted to increase the blurriness of the backgroudn even further as well as compressing fore- and background. To make the action more dramatic I lowered my position.
All pictures were taken with a Fuji X-T2 + 50-140mm f2.8
