Abstract Horror

This was shot on an iPhone 14 Pro Max with a xenvo clip on macro lens. It was also edited only using Lightroom mobile, so it is not upscaled/sharpened fully yet. I’m also a fairly new photographer so I’ve still got lots to learn.
My primary goal was to make a compelling image, in other words, something that would make people think for a few moments. I also tried to use layers (albeit there’s only 3), and show a partial, non-descriptive subject.
I got this shot by finding a broken, roughed up and discarded piece of glass and then I set it on a bush. In lightroom, I lowered the background to complete darkness and color shifted the branches a bit to red/orange/blue to give it more of a horror vibe. I tried a couple of different shots, but settled on this one.
If I were to do it over again, I would’ve been more thoughtful about the exact positioning of the glass and the left most branch so that I could raise the overall level of the composition. While I think some of the marks on the glass help frame the subject well, if I spent more time on I’m sure it could’ve been better.
