Hi Eman, This vlog is great! Your thumbnail piqued my interest before I even started watching the vlog, and my organization-loving brain really appreciated the To Do list at the beginning of the vlog. In my humble and totally unqualified opinion, the speaking part could maybe be broken up with some b-roll or different a-roll, but it has a lot of potential! Keep up the good work! :)

Oh this is cool! I love the little trailer at the beginning. Maybe the intro when you talk is a bit long ? Also, something I was asking myself (which has more to do with Youtube strategy rather than editing skills) is should I vlog in English or in French ? How did you decide to vlog in Arabic ?

Bonjour, Je suis francophone (américaine mais j'ai vécu en France et mon mari est lyonnais) et je me suis posé la même question ! Finalement, je vais mélanger les deux langues dans mes vlogs. (Si tu regardes le commentaire de Cari sur mon projet - Romantic Sunday Morning - tu verras qu'elle m'a conseillé de mettre les commentaires en français pour attirer les gens qui veulent apprendre le français et/ ou les francophones qui veulent apprendre l'anglais). J'espère que ça aide ! :)

To be honest I was debating a lot about which language I should use. I am more comfortable with mixing Arabic &amp; English. 

I was talking with my friends about this topic. Some said that it depends on your target. Which I agree with. Because I wanted to share information about studying in Korea in my region because there is none that talks about design in Arabic. However, most of the comments I received were from English-speaking audiences that is why I decided to put Eng subtitles. 

Now I am a bit comfortable talking in Arabic mixed with English (how I naturally talk) so I have decided to vlog that way. I hope that my answer can guide you to build your strategy and create amazing videos :D

Hi Eman :) Thanks so much for sharing this!! I really love the 'to do list' kind of intro because it lets the viewer know what to look forward to and it's like we're on the adventure with you! I think it just comes with practice, but maybe saying slightly less in the beginning and instead updating us throughout the vlog would help you jump into the footage faster. I'm still working on this myself haha but a lot of times the viewer wants to jump right into the footage of your day instead of being told what's going to happen. Maybe like 'we're getting a PCR test and then we're heading to a neighborhood I love to do some book shopping. I'll tell you more when we get there!!" Your footage was beauuuutiful! I particularly loved the shot out the restaurant window in Seochon because it really felt like a POV shot and the viewer could feel like they were in that window seat eating lunch too :) I loved your use to subtitles and titles too, it felt very cinematic~ Near the end the footage got a little shaky but my footage is still shaky too sometimes hahah It all just takes practice! Overall I really really loved this and cant wait to see more!! Best of luck in school too^^

First, I do not know if I mentioned this before, but I had fun editing this vlog, and following your tips, they are simple and inspiring. Second, thank you so much for providing me with solid feedback. I honestly do not know where I am going with this YouTube channel, as I have started vlogging recently to take my mind off things and create memories before leaving Korea.

'Less Talking' got it haha... I always have this idea of talking to give more context cause sometimes I form conversations in my head and think everyone is a mind reader. You even start talking to/with your coffee maker :P. But it makes sense if I want to follow the POV style.

I am an old subscriber to your channel, even before coming to Korea. The moment I saw your class I was super excited to subscribe to Skillshare and learn from you.
I would like to submit my project (A Design Student Life in Korea) for this class. It doesn't follow the theme of the main project but I followed the tips that you shared in the class.
