First use ever of brushpens (FaberCastel-PittArtistPens-SoftBrush)!
For me, it was also a great lesson to learn how to control the brushpen marks on the paper.
Little to step value gradation in lights in this pen set, I think.
Midori notebook paper - no color blending possible.
Drawing in 0.1 mm Rotring Isograph over a pencil sketch.
The drawing is full of mistakes and I messed up the lighting a lot.
But surprisingly, it gave me so much fun to draw it. And I'm very satisfied with the result of those first attempts to apply the value with a brush instead of hatching.
It will be interesting to see the same drawing made with just an ink pen, or alcohol markers on a specialized paper. I will try this soon, I hope.
Such a great lesson! Thank you so much, Benjamin.
