1. Introduction: Hi there. I'm Daniel. I'm a digital nomad
entrepreneur and YouTube creator for
well over a year. And in that process of made of a 100 videos across
multiple channels, I've done over 4
thousand subscribers and have gain of a 100000 views. And in this course, I want to teach you
the strategies and tools that I deploy in
my own editing that allows me to edit and publish professional looking videos
using my favorite software, which I believe is the most user-friendly and beginner
friendly as well. And that is Phil Mura, x from 1 to share. Now I'll be talking over some
of the tools and some of the processes that I
go through such as cotton your videos,
add in texts, layer in translations, how
to do audio adjustments and color corrections that allow your videos to come out
professional-looking, decent looking with
a wider appeal. So if you're interested
in that, Michelle, you watched this course
till the very end. Because when I talk
to small actuators, I find that the biggest
challenge is creating videos. That is descent looking
at and professional enough to share
platforms like YouTube. And at the end of this course, you would have been
able to accomplish that and start
publishing your videos. So many people can enjoy the content that
you'd have to share. So without further ado, let me jump right
into the course and I will see you on
the other side.
2. Why Create Videos?: All right, so before we
move along in this course, we need to ask ourselves
one question and that is why are we
creating videos? Now? The reason why we're
creating videos is going to inform on what type of
editing needs to go into it. Now, there's generally
three reasons why people create videos. One, if you have an online
or an offline business, creating videos
can open you up to potentially millions of
new customers online, especially on a
platform like YouTube. Now for that kind of content, you know that you
don't need a lot of heavy editing to go into it. Focus on the information you're trying to deliver and evaluate. You're trying to
give your customers. The second reason why
a good career videos is to share information. Take for example, I'm
delivering a Skillshare course. Now in this type of videos, I don't need the heavy
editing as well. The information that
I'm trying to share it with you is the most
important thing. All I have to do is kind
of the harms and the has. In fact, in this video that
you're watching right now, there's a lot of harms and has a lot of multiple takes
that I've got away. But you wouldn't notice that because that is the
work of editing. It takes out all of
the distractions and focus on the core message that you're trying
to pass across. Now the third reason why
people create videos is to document something that
is a passion project. Or maybe you're trying to
document a family vacation, or maybe you're just trying
to document special events or you just want to
share videos and platforms like
YouTube, like I do. So when I travel around, I create a lot of videos, a lot of travel videos, and those kind of videos, they need to be sophisticated
because people are lined, so tired of seeing
under produce videos. And I have to put a lot more
work into those type of content because people have
a lot more expectation. But say you're trying to
document your family vacation. Now, you're doing that for
yourself and for your family. You don't have to
put in a lot of effort into that kind of video. So the editing
process that you go through is going to
be very minimal. So this question is very
important because it's going to determine what type of editing and goes
into your videos. So ask yourself, why are you creating videos
in the first place?
3. The Best Camera to Use: Now here's another question that people ask me all the time. What is the best type of
equipment to shoot with? Should I shoot with a DSLR or should I shoot
with an iPhone? Should I get the latest iPhone
and so on and so forth. But the way we leave in
our world right now, things are changing
very rapidly. If you are on TikTok
or Instagram Reels, then you know that the type of content that people
consume on there, different than the type
of content that people consume on a platform
like YouTube. Say for example, if you're trying to create
counter for Tiktok, then you would need an iPhone. But if you are trying to create content for YouTube in long form content than you will
probably need a DSLR. So my point is this, the type of content that
you want to create will determine the type of equipment
that you want to use. Say for example, I have a DSLR, I have a GoPro, and I have an iPhone. But more often than not, I find myself filming
with my iPhone 11 Pro Max because it's just very handy and it's always with me
everywhere I go. And quite frankly, the
quality on the iPhone sometimes is better
than my DSLR. So what I'm going to
say to you is this, the equipment that
you have right now on end is the best type of equipment you
want to should wave. It doesn't matter
whether you're trying to shoot a tiktok video or you're trying to shoot a full from video just like I'm
doing right now. An iPhone can do both. And if you have a DSLR, it can also do both. So the equipment you
have right now is the best type of a Goodman's that you should be
shooting your videos with.
4. Intro to FilmoraX & Using the Cutting Tool: All right, So welcome to the first official
project of this course. And the first thing
we wanna do right now is to make sure that we have the software on our computer and the software is
wonder share film or x. So what you wanna do is
go on the website and go download the software
to your computer using the free download
button right here. Now there's two versions
of the software. There is the free version
and a paid version. I always recommend you start
with the paid version, but if you don't
wanna do that yet, you can use a free version. But remember that by the
time you export your video, it's going to have a water Mac at the bottom of the video. So if you're
comfortable with that, you can go ahead and do that. But since I already have
the software, my computer, I'm just going to go ahead and show you exactly how to use it. So what you're looking
at right here is what the software looks
like once you open it, it's going to have split
into three parts basically. So we have the
monitor right here, this where you're looking at on the right-hand side is where
you went to your videos. As you can see right here,
I've already inputted some videos into my software, and right here is a timeline. So you will see what
happens exactly when you look at
the timeline and when I drag some of the videos onto the timeline
so you'll be able to see exactly how things
work in a second. So what you wanna do
is you want to look at some media files
on your computer. What you're seeing
right here are some footage that I
shot a while back. This is like an apartment tour. So the goal of this
video is to create a cinematic video of an apartment like you're
showcasing an apartment. And that's exactly
what we want to do. So I've already
inputted those videos, but if you want to
do that right now, what you want to do is go to
media and you're going to try to locate those files in your computer and
bring the mean. It could be videos,
audios, whatever it is. So now that we've done that, I'm going to drag the first
footage onto the timeline. So it's automatically going to create a video timeline for me. And what you see right here, something that looks
like the eyes. If you click on that, it's going to, it's going
to block that timeline. So whatever you do here, not going to show up here, but look at what happens
once we unclick that. So it's automatically going
to show up on our timeline. See that? Once we block them, once we, I did timeline using
that button right there, it's not going to show up
anymore as you can see. So you can block your timeline, you can unblock
it, you can block it using that little
button right there. All right, let's go back all
the way to the beginning. So I'm going to import a couple videos and we are
going to start cutting them, which is the first
tool that I want to introduce you to,
the cutting tool. So I'm going to introduce
like three videos for videos. So that way we
looked through it. All right, So right there. So this is the first tool that I want to introduce you to,
which is a cutting tool. You can click on
it and drag it all over the timeline as you wish. But here we're going to stop
right here because this is where we want our
video to start from. So I'm going to drop it
right there and I'm going to click on the thing that
looks like a Caesar's. Boom. And I'm going
to delete that. And you will see
what happens now. So all of the timeline is going
to automatically shift to that empty space that we just have the dummy deleted
something from. So let's drag it back and let's play it all
the way from the beginning. As you can see right there. So if we want to call it, so what we wanna do
is we want to create a 15 to 20 seconds be rho. A B-roll is just like
a cinematic view of the apartment with music
playing in the background so people can see
exactly and just follow the story
as we create it. So it doesn't matter
really how many footage you shoot if
you're out in the field, what matters is
we want to select the best footage to make
it into the final edits. So that is the goal. The goal is to tell
the best story. And it's not to make sure that all the videos you
have in your computer, on your phone makes it
into the final edits. So I'm going to cut
the video right here and delete the part that
is on the right-hand side. So I'm going to delete that. And all of the timeline
is going to shift to the left so they can block
this empty space that we have. Now let's go over the Earth. What's left of it? And it's going to move
on to the next scene. So as you can see right here, we want to start the
next scene right where the living
room is revealed. So I will cut that in. I will delete this so it's
going to shift as well. And that's view that again. Boom. All right, so right there, we want to cut that
using the cutting tool. As you can see right now, we are only using
a cutting tool. We haven't used any other tool. We just cut in our videos. Just cut, cut, cut, cut, cut. Right there. We want to cut that and delete. Boom. Let's keep going. Right. So right there. And we want to cut again. We cut that bone, delete, boom, there you go. So now we have the rough cut. Now we have the final caught. Now this is exactly what
we want to work with. Now we have about
20 seconds footage right now to work with. As you can see, it's
looking like a real video, like a real apartment
or made by law, made by an absolute
professional. All right, so now that we know exactly what
according to dos, in the next video, I'm going
to show you how to add sound and how to do
some color correction. So that way our video
looks really good, but because now it looks
very yellow, right? It looks very yellow
because the lightened in that living room when I shut the video was
like a yellow light. So we want to make sure
we eliminate all of that. We want to make sure that
our video looks clean, it looks bright,
it's not looking yellow like it currently
does right now. So in the next video, I'm going to show
you how to do that.
5. Sound Design: All right, Welcome to
the next module here, I'm going to teach you how to
add sound to your footage. Now that we've done the cutting, we have our final edit. Now we're going to
add some sound. We're going to do some
color corrections. We're going to add some
texts in the next video. I'm going to break it up so
you don't get overwhelmed by a lot of the things that we
are about to learn here. So now we want to add sound to our videos so that way it
makes it more cinematic. Okay? If you don't have a website, if you don't register for web, so in fact, you don't
have to do that. The software comes with a suite of free music that you can
use in any of the videos. It's copyright free so you don't have to worry
about copyright. We're just going
to go in here and search for a music that we like that's going to convey the message that we
are trying to do. We're trying to send to our
viewers That's just fine, is sung here, okay, As find something,
something energetic, something that, you know, that conveys the message. I think that works. Okay, Let's drag that
onto our timeline. So as you can see right here, this is our music timelines. So it's just going to create a timeline is separate
timeline from the video, just underneath the video, so that way it keeps
them separate. So let's listen to the music and the video at the same time. All right, So that is
how you add sound. But something I want to do, as you can notice, the music didn't start
off almost immediately. It's almost like,
It's almost like the music started
very slowly then it just gradually raises its tempo. But we
don't want that. We want that tempo to start all the way
from the beginning. So the same thing that
we did to the video, It's the same thing
that we're going to do to the audio as well. So we want that music more than energy to start all the
way from the beginning. So I'm going to find where
the energy of the music is, IS, and we're going to cut them music to begin right from there. Let's go back right there. So I'm going to cut
the music right there, delete this part, and
I'm going to drag it to the beginning
of the timeline. So this is what happens. So the same way that
you caught your audio, you can catch a video as well. As you can see now, we've
raised the temporal lobe it now the video sending
a different message. So music has a really
important role to play in conveying the
message that you are trying to pass across
in your videos. So make sure you always
find the right music. In fact, yeah, I mean, I know it takes some time to have the right
heres for music, but you will
definitely get there. But now I know what
kind of music goes with any type of videos that
I'm trying to make. And really it all comes down to the message you're
trying to pass across. If we're trying to pass
across a mellow kind of calm message that you need
a calm music to go with it. So let's say now that
we've included music, now it's almost sounds like
the music is too loud. Okay, so now we want to reduce
the volume of the music. So if you look on the
music timeline right here, there's a line that
strikes across the music. The music timelines. So if you click on that, there's going to be like
under grabs onto the line. And you can drag that up
and down as you can see. So it's telling you right
here the music sound levels, It's negative 6.10 decibels. And if you raise that up, it's going to go to one
decibel is two decimals, all the way to 12 decibels. So the higher the decibel is, the IR, the volume of the music. So want to bring it down
a little bit to like minus 10 decibels, right? And Latin. Now let's listen to that music and let's
see how it sounds. So as you can see
that we've reduced the volume drastically
and it's kind of, you know, has this very
subtle tone to it now. All right, So that
is how you reduce the volume of your music. Also, you can right-click on the timeline and you can
click on adjust audio. That's another way to do it. So here you can
reduce the volume, you can fading,
you can fade out. So let's say we don't want the music to start very punchy. We can just fade in the music. Say we want the music to really start at about two seconds. So fading means the
music is Jonah. Gradually start. Okay, so now let's see
what changes here. As you can see, that
means that you can see that Hongo as it just
goes up very gradually. Or if you don't want to go
that you can simply click on this white dot right here and you can just
drag that around. You can drag it around
as you can see. So now let's go back
to the beginning of the timeline and let's play the video and let's
see how it sounds. Now that is the effect
of fading into music. Now you want the music
to start very gradually, rather than coming in very punchy like it
did the other time. If you want to drag
it even farther, the music is going to
slowly start and it's going to crescendo right where
the ticker is right here. Now the music and the o Video
has a different feel to it, as you can tell, is
slowly crescendos. Now it's given this subtle
lives when he started off and it just gives us punchy
vibe right at the middle. There you go. We're almost having a very
perfect video guys. So that is how you add
your sound to the music. And you can just play with
a play around with it. There's so many functions
that you can have. You can remove the
background noise. You can do something they
called it dark skin. So the skin simply
going to reduce the sound of any other thing that is around the music wants, the music is playing
every other sound. If you have any sound
on this timeline, like a voice-over for example, it's going to reduce the
sound of everything else and you are only going to
hear the sound of music. So I'm still going to
show you how to do that. But now let's all celebrate
what we've done right now, which is cutting our videos and adding sound to wheat
and making sure we're conveying the right message with our sound and videos combined. Now the next module I'm going to teach you how to add text or videos out to do color
correction, like I said. So that way we can have a
very good ligand video. And now we'll see
in the next one.
6. Color Correction: All right, In this lesson, let's talk about
color correction now. As you can see on the
timeline that video, the timeline, the video
slips very yellow. That's not something
we want to happen. Now, what you wanna do
is you want to adjust the color so it looks
like an original video, so it looks like
it's not yellow, it looks like a broader
light now that is called color correction
because right now it's on the yellowish
part of the light spectrum. Not want to bring it back to our regular ice, will see it. Now, what you wanna
do in this case is to right-click on this, on the clip, on the
timeline right there. So the many you would see something like color correction and you want to click on that. So once you click on it, right, you will see some, some presets, but we do not
want to deal with presets. Want to make sure that you can always control your own colors. You can always control
your own situation. But if you go
through your preset, maybe you'll see
something that you like, but I don't always
recommend it, right? But what we wanna do is
we want to adjust when I click on adjust and do
the adjustments manually. So that way we have control over the kind of
colors that we get. So what you want to do with
in this kind of situation, you want to go too
wide balance because it is the white balance that
we're dealing with here. Now on the White Balance Scale, There's a yellow light in this. This is called the warm light in this situation now
this is really warm. Now we want to make it
a little bit colder. So we want to bring it
back on the scale to a coder type of light because right now it's on
the yellow pad of the scale. Want to bring it back to
the blue part of this code, which is much colder than
what we're seeing right here. So you can see the color
correction right here. It's trending towards the
yellow part of the spectrum. Now we want to click
on that and use it. What happens once we click on that adjustment
thing right there, as you can see, it's now less warm than it is if you drag it here,
it's very yellow. If you bring it back,
It's very warm, so that is exactly what we want. So you don't want to overdo it, but you just want to make
sure that, you know, it's in a space where it's
not very yellow now it's looks more like what the eyes would see if
we were looking at it. Right. So if you drag
it here is very yellow. If you drag it down here, It's very it's very normal. So I think that looks like what it would
normally be like. Let's play it and see. Yup. Right? So that's exactly what
we're trying to achieve. Now, what you wanna do at this
point is you want to save this as a preset because now if we are doing a
bunch of adjustments, we want to repeat the same adjustment that
we have on this one clip. We want to replicate it for every other clip
on the timeline. So what you wanna do is
you want to click on this Save As preset right here, and you want to name it. So let's save that. And let's click on. Okay, so that is set now let's see what it looks
like on the timeline. Okay, that looks good. So you want to click on
the rest of the timeline, and you just want to do color
correction on that as well. Now this is the
easier way to do it. There's also which do a
where you can just click on everything and just apply
the same set in stone. But I just want to show
you how you can do that individually because I believe this is the best way to do it. So when I go to costume, now it's going to show you
all of the preset I have here now these are
some of the presets that I've set for myself. This is the last preset that
we did, the test preset. You want to click on that and
it's going to automatically adjust to the right Preset. Okay, so now let's watch it. This is the first clip bone. So we kinda wanna have a very consistent color on
every one of our clips. We want to apply the same
preset to the last two clips, so color correction, and
we do the Test Preset. Boom. So now that we've applied all of the presets
to all of the clips. Everything has a
consistent color. Now, the next thing I
want to talk about in this lesson very quickly
is removing the audio. So now that we have our sound, we have a different
sound that we want the video to, to have. Now the video still
has its own sound. Now we want to remove
the sound of the video. There's two ways you can do. You can either reduce
the volume completely. I don't like to do that. I'd like to remove
the sound completely. So all you have to
do is right-click on the clip and do click
on detach audio. So you want to
detach the audio so the audio is going
to be removed from the original clip
as go to a place on a different timeline
and you click on that, you delete things,
you do that for the rest of the clips as well. So you want to detach
the audio so that way, the only audio we have
is the one we've added, which is the one right here. So you detach that,
you remove it. And now we have our own audio. So in the next lesson, I'm going to teach you
how to add text, to. Also add text to
your videos out to our texts and translations
to your video. And in the final module, I'm going to teach
you how you can do voice over so that way you
can have your own sound, your own voice to your video. So the sort of project for this lesson is
going to be just try to import your own
videos and try to repeat the steps that we've
done in those videos. So that way you can have
really experienced, that way. You can digest everything that we've learned
in this lesson. And you can have real
experience and you can apply that in the future. And if you have any questions, leave your projects right
in the project section, and I will be happy to answer any question
that you may have. So I'll see you in
the next lesson.
7. Adding Text and Transition: All right, welcome back. So in this lesson
we're going to learn how to add text to our video. So if you have any reason
to add taxi or videos, this lesson is going to
teach you how to do that. And also we'll be talking
about transition as well. Or you can have transitions
to transition from one screen or from one
scene to the other. So that's what is less
is going to be about. Now, let's go. All right, so if you
look right here on your menu on the upper
part of the screen, you will see something
called the titles. Now titles is where you will
find all of your texts. We have different types of texts that you can
apply to your videos. We have the costume texts, we have the Openers, the titles, the lower thirds, we have
n credits, plain text. You can just come
in here and look at whatever it is
you're trying to do. If you're trying to do like a big attacks or something like, like a closed caption. You can do pretty
much in one u one. But now we want to do
the plain text, right? Because that is what you will
be using a lot of the time. So let's go to plain text now. You double-click on any of that. You will see what it
looks like on the screen and how it's going to
look on your videos. But let's just drag
one of them and bring them to our
timeline, okay? Right. All right. So what you see in It's just a placeholder texts
called Lorem Ipsum. I mean, you've probably
seen them before. So if you want to change the
text, you will double-click. So once you double-click that, it's going to give you a text
field right here where you can clear that up and write in whatever you want right now I'm
going to write, this is an apartment tour. As you can see. It's right there on the screen. And you can change
the font right here. I love to use The
Bold, Montserrat bold. This is an apartment tour. You can drag that. You can place it wherever you want to place it on the screen. But let's just leave it right
here on the bottom part. And you can also change
the color as well. You can change the
color of the text, but let's leave it at White. All right, so that is
how you change it. You can also add some animation if you want the texts
that come in from above, or do you want it to come from the mean from bottom
of the screen? You can do that. Now this is what it's
gonna look like. Let's had this
animation right here. We can just take this
animation and drag it. Okay, so now that we've been
able to add animations, now you can remove
the animation by, just by just clicking
on no animation. So with that, you don't
have any animations. But if you want to
have some animation, had some movement to your text, you can simply just
come here and just add your animation to your texts. But you can also make it
something like a typewriter. So the address of the
textures, you know, comes in like you're
typing it on the screen. And if you do Okay, you'll see what that looks like. Boom. Again. You can remove that. You can remove the animation by go into animation and
clicking on no animation. So it's just going to be a
static text on the screen. So that is how you add
text to your videos. And you can also change the
type of texts that you want. You can come here, do openers. With openers. It's just going to be like this on the screen. And you can double-click
on the text and you can change the contents of the text. Test text on screen. Boom, you can do
whatever font you want, you can change, you
can change that, but we're not going
to include this, so I'm just going
to delete that. All right, so that is how
you add text to your videos. And now we're going to talk about how to add
some translation. So here you see
transitions on the screen. Now what transitions
simply does is help you transition from one scene to
the other very seamlessly. So that way he tells
his story even more. So what I like to do is
I like to use, you know, the, the, the, the
basic transitions, meaning the fade and dissolve. So that way it dissolves
from one scene to the other. You're going to see
what it looks like. So if you drag this
transition and place it in between
the two scenes, and you can reduce how I mean
the timing of it as well. Now, let's see how you transition from one
scene to the other. So that is how that works. Now let's use another
transition right here. Boom. We'll see how
that works as well. Now let's use a different
transition here. So you can pretty much use
any transition you like. What you don't want
to overdo it though, because translation
sometimes can be annoying, but you
don't want to overdo it. But if you ever need
to use organizations, it can come in here and use whatever translations you want. Yeah, so it's as simple
as that transitions are very easy to
add to your videos. It had some dynamism to your videos on it makes
it more interesting to watch so that in this
lesson we've talked about you can add text and now you can add transitions to your video. Make sure you had that
in your project as well. So in this project, you go into add some texts. You're going to add some
transitions to your videos and leave them in the
project section down below. If you have any questions, I will be able to
answer them for you and don't hesitate to ask me any
questions that you may have. And I'll see you in the
next session where we will be talking about added
voice-overs to your video. So that way, you can
add your own sound, you can add your own
voice, your video. That way it gives it more life and it makes it even
more interesting. I'll see you in the next lesson.
8. Adding Voiceover: All right, welcome
to this lesson and this is where we're going
to learn about voiceovers. How are we going to have
our own sound to the video? And if you look on the
screen right here, you see something that
looks like a microphone. And if you over on it, it's going to say
record voice-over. That is what you want
to click if you're trying to record
voiceovers for your video. Now, I have my microphone here. This is what I'm
going to be using to record my voice-over. You don't need this. All you need is to, you know, you can record
directly to your computer. And if you have this, you
know, it's going to give you a better quality
and just mix it, makes the overall experience
more, more beautiful. So we're going to click on that and you'll see
exactly what happens. But first, so you want
to place this right here to that point where you want your voice-over
to begin from. So in this case, I want my voice-over
to begin from here. Okay? So now that I'm pleased
that right there, now the voiceovers going
to start from here. No, I'm going to click on the microphone button and I'm going to begin
my voice-over. So here you're going to select the microphone that
you're trying to use. I have three options. I have my my MacBook Pro, if you'd go in to speak directly into your MacBook,
which I don't recommend. But right here, this
is my microphone, that my x and a microphone, and that's exactly what
I'm going to be using. So I'm going to select that. Right? Okay, so let's make
sure everything's a skids. Alright, so I'm going to click on record and
we'll see what happens. I login, welcome to
my apartment tour. This is spot of those
Skillshare class that I will be sharing with some of the students who are
currently watching this. And this is a little
apartment tour that I did in the country of Albania, in my Airbnb apartment. Right now we've recorded that. Now we're going to
hear what it sounds like. This should be fun. A login. Welcome to my apartment tour. This is spot of the
Skillshare class that I will be shared with some
of the students who are currently watching this. And this is a little
pot mentor that I did in the country of Albania, in my Airbnb apartment. Uh, right. So that is how
you record your voice-over. As you can see,
it's not very odd. You can record to any
part of the video, or you have to do is place
your cursor where you want the recording to start
and just click on Record. Now let's hear that again. Hello and welcome to
my apartment tour. This is part of the
Skillshare class that I will be shared with some
other students who are currently watching this. And this is a
little apartment or that idea in the
country of Albania, in my Airbnb apartment. Right? So now that we've learned how to do our voiceovers, this is one very
important part of your video editing journey because it's going to have
some life into your videos, like mentioned
many times before. And make sure you do this
in your project as well. Make sure you include something like this
in your project. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me, I'll be more than
happy to help you. And in the next lesson, which is going to be our
final video for this course, I'll be going over how to export your video the right
settings that you want to do in order to have your
video be able to show up on YouTube or wherever you want
to upload your videos too. So those settings is going to make sure that your video is compatible on almost
any platform out there. So I'll see you in
the next lesson.
9. Exporting Your Final Video: All right, Welcome to the final project or the
final lesson in this course. And this is where we're
going to export our video. Now that we've got our
videos, we've had a text, we've done transitions,
we've added music, we've done our voice overs. It is now time to edit. I mean, to export our video. Now, if you look on
the screen right here, there's a little button
that says Export and that's how you produce
your final video. Now if you click on that, it's going to give you
a bunch of options, but you don't have to
freak out here, okay? You can either do MOV
file or an MP4 file. Now MOV is compatible
with any device and MP4s, of course, compatible
with any device. And you can always try to upload or export in
different formats as well. But I always recommend
you do it in MOV file or an MP4 file. And also you can
choose what device you want to optimize
your videos for. You can do an iPhone and iPad, Apple TV, Xbox,
PlayStation, or whatever. But what we want to focus on is the format which
is right here. So I always select MP4. So now that I've
selected them before, and I will now
come here and name my video and I'm going to
name it apartment tour final. Okay. You can name it
whatever you want. And I'm going to
select the location that I'm going to
save my video 2, which is the deck stop. Okay, So right here
as we can see, the resolution of
this video is 300, 400 by 2160 minutes. This video was
recorded in for K, but you can always downgrade
the video to 1920 by 4 80, which is like the
least resolution that you want to
export your videos in. That is the full HD, that is what is
recommended by YouTube. And that way your videos will come out in a very good quality. It's not going to break up. There's not going to be
any weird thing going on. So you always want to
make sure that you are exporting your video in full HD, which is 1920 by 1080, which is compatible with almost any device in
the entire world. So now that you've done that, you're going to see the
size of your video, which is about 200 megabytes, and the duration of the video is about three minutes
and 16 seconds. Okay. I'm not sure. Whites says three minutes. Okay. I think it's the
music right here, so we want to cut
it off right here. So always make sure you cut off the music because if you don't, the video is wrong to run for the entire
duration of the music. Okay, we don't want
that to happen. So let's go back and
let's rename it again. Okay, so it's no
longer 200 megabytes, it's now 23 megabytes and the video is
approximately 20 seconds. 20 seconds. That's where we're
going in for it. But if you are
producing or video, it might run two
minutes, 10 minutes, whatever it is that
you're trying to produce. But now we have our settings. Always make sure you
save in 1920 by 1080. Always make sure you're
saving an MP4 or MOV. And all you have to do at this
point is click on export. So your video's going to export and it's going to show you
the progress right here. It, once it gets to 100%, it means your video
is on your deck. Stop. Your video is
ready to be viewed, it's ready to be uploaded. This is how you make a video. Now go apply all
of this trainings, all of those lessons
to your own video. And I want you to upload
your final video to the project section down below and let me know if
you have any questions. And I hope I've been able to do a great job at
explaining things. And if you have any questions, please do not hesitate
to let me know. And I will see you
in the next lesson.
10. Final Thoughts: All right, Congratulations
my friend. This is the end of this course, and I hope that by now you've
learned a couple of things. Probably a lot of things
about how to create your first professional
looking video using this very simple
software right here. Again, like I said at the
beginning of this course, I believe in using simplistic approaches to tackle seemingly
challenging problems. And that is exactly what this software right
here gives to you. So you don't have
to go invest in all of this expensive
softwares out there, especially if you're just
getting started because I don't because I'm not a fan
of spending money away. You're not making money. Yeah, anyways, apply everything that you've learned
in this course. Make sure you
complete the project, upload it in the project
section, and let me know. Most importantly, if
you need any help, thanks for watching this
course and thanks for being a part of my journey
on Skillshare. And if you have any
questions again, don't hesitate to ask me. Please leave a
review if you can. And I look forward to
seeing you in the next one. And Daniel, rabbi.
