1. INTRO: Hi. My name is critic Dombroski and this is the stillbirth. Big intercourse. I'm a full time snowboard instructor living in his book. I teach people not only on the slopes, but I also think this course you will learn the basics of snowboarding. You will learn how to find the right equipment for you. You will learn how to stand on the snowboard and I will show you all the exercises you need to practice in order to do your first turns on snowboard snowboarding. It's a little bit like riding a bike. You will never learn it before you try it. However, it's way more complex than riding a bike. I recommend you that you take a class and learn with professional instructor. This course I made for you is just to give you an idea. What? Snowboarding? Yes, to prepare you mentally before your first day on snow and support and speed up your learning process. So please join me on the snowboard beginner's course 2. Course summary: thescore. First we're going to talk about the equipment, how to find the perfect snowboard boots and bindings and how to set them all up. Then we will dive into the stance. I will teach you what is the right posture on the snowboard that supports balance. After that, I will show you the first exercises on the snowboard that are always performed on the flat part of the slope. Next, we will go to the very gentle slow and you will learn how to perform the very basic straight run. After that, you will learn what sites sleeping and diagram on site flipping is the following video will be very important for your snowboard turns. It introduces this so called gas pedal movement and the exercise you will learn is fully leave. And lastly, I will explain how to connect all these exercises and perform the whole turret on snowboard 3. Equipment: I always say that before you try snowboarding, never buy a snowboard. If you already know that you like snowboarding and that you will be writing at least one week per year, then probably it's a good time to buy your own equipment. And here is how to do that. The first piece of equipment. Are your boots always by your boots first, and then find the right bindings to your boots. And lastly, find the right snowbird to your bindings and boots, the type of equipment you are going to buy defense on the style of riding you prefer and on your abilities. Snowboarding boots. Before you find the perfect ones, you have to fit a few different pairs. What you are looking for is comport, but also the food has to be tight enough so you can steal your board. If you're a beginner, you should look for ourselves boot, which means the food with the highest flexibility. When you go to the snowboard shop, just ask for a few flexible subtitles. When you progress on snowboards, you can go for less flexible equipment. This will help you, for example, to have more control when you rise fast but it will influence positively overall performance. When you go shopping, always try snowboard boots with the socks you're going to take for writing. There are two easy tests you can do. Foot boat off the snowboarding boots on. Close them up properly as you were going writing and now stand out in a standing upright position. You can feel a little bit off pressure on your toes, and it's OK. However, when you bend your knees in that position scored just a little bit. The pressure should be going because the feet inside of boots should move a little bit backwards. So if it feels good right now, it's a good sign. Test number. To do a few steps. Walk around a little bit as you were walking. Normal troops now focus on your heels if they are stable and not moving inside the boots. That's a very good sign. However, if you feel some empty space under your heels or behind your heels, probably the boot is not really perfectly. Now it's time to find the right binding in the still board shop. Ask for bindings that are for the size of your snowboarding boots. Bindings can also be soft and hard and everything in between the flexibility off the binding should be the same as the flexibility off your snowboarding boots. What you can do now is to put your boot inside of finding the less empty space around the boot. The better. Probably you won't find the perfect match. But close to perfect is good enough. Now is the time to find the perfect snowboard for you and again, the flexibility of the snow boards should be very similar to the flexibility of your bindings and your boots. Now, as a beginner, you are going for a soft snowboard. This will help you to learn quicker, have more fun and have less false, because the snowboard won't punish you when you do some minor mistakes. Beginners on hard snowboard would have very bad time because even very small mistakes would result in fault. How to find the right size off the snowboard. The legs off the snowboard depends on how heavy you are, and the with depends on the size of your feet. You can find the right size of the snowboard in the size chart. Just look up for your weight and you will find the corresponding size. There's also very old test, which is, in my opinion still. Bailey, just stand up and take your snowboard if you hold it in front of you and the snowboard is reaching your chin. This means the snowboard has a good life. If you use this method to find a snowboard, snowboard will be just a little bit longer than snowboard found by a side start. So what is the difference between a little bit longer snowboard and little bit shorter? Snowboard Charter Snowbird will be a little bit easier to turn, and longer will be more stable in higher speed. But for the very beginners, I would recommend shorter snowboards. So we have your snowboard, your bindings and boots. Great. Now it's time to buy some protection. Helmets and goggles are always must, first of all, by a helmet. And again, there shouldn't be any empty space between your head and helmet. Now it's time to buy Goebbels. They have to fit your helmet. Well, if you want to minimize the risk of having an injury, you can also buy the back protector. And also, wrist protectors are new protectors. The rest of equipment is just outfits, your snowboard ducats, work ponds and gloves. Just buy whatever he wants, just beer in mind. The more expensive jackets, ponds and class protect better against the wind and water, and they can also have better air circulation system so you don't feel too hot or toward. Snowboarding equipment is very expensive. However, if you want to save some money, there are a few ways to do that. First of all, you confined second hand equipment, and this is the cheapest option. However, in this case, you don't have so many snowboards, bindings, boots to truth from second option is to wait for a sale. They are usually at the end of the winter season. Okay, that's about that. In the next video, we will talk about the snowboard stance. 4. Stance: welcome again. Before I tell you how to stand on the snowboard, what is the correct posture and stance you have to set up your equipment correctly. In my case, it's 54 centimeters and this is the length that should be between the middle points off the bindings. Now I will tell you what angles off the bindings. You should truth. I will go for a symmetric set up both for bindings point outside. First I would try 12 degrees angle on the left and 12 degrees on the right. Here in mind. This is just the starting point. If you don't feel uncomfortable or whatever, you don't have pain, so go for it. Try to write with this set up. However, if you feel there is something wrong, try bigger angle or smaller angle. Okay, let's say your bindings are already attached to the snowboard. Go find some completely flat part of the slope and you can stop in. So what is the correct posture on the snowboard? Generally speaking, it's relaxed and centered. You have to stay upright, never bent forward. Relax your hands. Don't twist left or right. Your hips also should not be twisted. Left or right, they should be in a natural position. One of the most important things are your knees. Bend your knees. You always right with the knees. Bend it. Imagine the scale from 0 to 10 zero means squat. Your knees are completely banded. And 10 they are straight. We want to be somewhere around five bendy early. So you are around in the middle of the scale. 5. Introduction exercises: Finally, today is the day. Today you go snowboarding for the first time, a scythe first video. I always recommend that you should go with the instructor. In this particular video, you will see what you will do during first hour on snowboard with the instructor. So there is no empty space between your hell and the high brick. Always close the big struck first. Close it tightly and then close the small one. You could do it. Standing or sitting doesn't matter. If you are sitting, stand up and try to lift your front leg with your snowboard. Try to live the whole surface of the snowboard over the ground just using your front leg. Lift up and put it down. Lift your leg and stumbled again, and now try to rotate 360 degrees just standing on one leg. Now put this number flat on the ground and put your free leg behind the huge. Try to scoot around with your snow more like this. Just go straight ahead for a few meters. Turn around and come back. Don't look down. Don't look at your snowboard at your legs. Just look where you're going to. And now do something similar to what you would do on the skateboard. Push with your free leg off the ground and start slowly sliding when you are sliding. Now you will learn how to walk up the hill with one leg attached to the snowboard. Now we have to put your free leg on the other side of the snowboard next to the fromage. Do the opposite movement to the gas pedal. You will turn 90 degrees right straight for a few seconds, and whenever you already do the opposite movement to the hospital again, turn right and finish on the heels. Well done.
