Project Description

Model Your Own 3D Design for a Hand-Held Object

ASSIGNMENT

Your assignment is to model your own 3D design for a hand-held object. There are a lot of options and different ways to make things, and this project is all about exploring the simple, easy-to-use tools that can help you get going, starting with simple ideas and 2D sketches. Follow the lessons to photograph your sketch; refine your design in Photoshop and Illustrator; and add final touches with Tinkercad, then share your process and photos with the class. Keep it simple, remember that failure is an option, and have fun!

DELIVERABLE

Your assignment is to model your own 3D design for a hand-held object. A complete project will include:

  • sketch of initial concept
  • screenshot of final product in Tinkercad (or other 3D program of choice)
  • brief description of object
