About This Class

Are you interested in learning modern Web Development using Ruby on Rails?

Ruby on Rails is a web application framework that helps you build web apps. Many commercial sites are built using it. For example: Twitter, AirBnB, Kickstarter, Hulu, Groupon just to name a few.

During the first part of the course we will setup  and configure all the programs, languages, applications and tools needed to create code using Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework. After that is complete, we will build our first web app. If you've never used Rails before, we will install all of the software you need, and then start learning and writing code. Student programmers of all skill levels are welcome.
