Lesson One: Hammer On (Part 1/5) : How nice. Welcome to the first lesson of this class. If you're wondering why I have this head filled with this strange mike my neck eyes because I don't have a microphone yet, so I can a professional my home. I don't have it, but that's on my to do list, Aziz mentioned in the description Off the glass. The first lesson will be based on the hammer on technique. Maybe all of you heard about Cameron's Alofs basically deserve llegado techniques when you are doing a Morones and pull ups, basically, you are playing the same notes, but with different philosophy. Uh, the base off the hammer on exercise as the main stays off is that you are hammering the string with your finger without picking show. So instead of playing the sound and out, uh, so instead of playing them individually, I'm just playing the C note and hammering the dino like that on one big on. You can do this with every street with every notes. You can also combine the strings. Let's say yeah, we have ah, A D E and F Notes Way can do this with every stream. Um, so the first other sense that I was just thinking off is this one. So we're having the in minor pentatonic scale. That is, this will be the minor pentatonic scale in this position. On the health position. The exercise that I'm thinking will be this one. Okay, Only tomorrow. - Okay , so this will be d. Let's see a simple exercise with the pentatonic scale. Remember, you have todo heat the string with the sleepover thumb. So the do like things like that, uh, you have Teoh be accurate when playing this. This notes, remember, they have to sound very natural and as close as to the to the beaten up like Okay, so this was the first exercise. I'm gonna shoot the tab. And you can you can play with the second exercise that I'm thinking, um, is on the when the G on the G major scale. Okay. On this one. Oh, the exercise will full of the inter skill, and we'll come back to the room, remember? Compared to the previous exercise where you have, uh, 16 like second exercise, you will have serious off three notes. The G major skill. Let me show you in the bonus. Oh, right second. Okay, So this is the G note. I think this one. So just make sure your breakfast. These with the matter? No. Start from a very low steep. I know. 70 bpm 60 maybe. Make sure you played with accuracy. Things kind of stopped in order to get beat. Make sure you played slow, nice and clean in the spirit will come with the we could find as a quick recap The first precise Theo Oh, it's you on tonight's lesson and would lock in practice. 3. Lesson Two: Pull Off (Part 2/5): Hello. Welcome to the second lesson of the scores. Today we will talk about the pull off me. Remember yesterday we discussed about Dameron eight. I'm wrong. One with one on today we will discuss about Wolf. That one. Okay, so basically, the full off me is the reversed is a reverse technical. The Dameron. So when you are trying to play the pull off No, you are just taking your finger off the street like this. That's the full of is the reverse. The meat off the people that way. A short a short steep for you guys. When you are pulling off the stream, you just have to make a short no dragon string with the with your time. So don't just take it simply the threat of curb it a little bit. I don't know if that's key for you on the show. I'm not exaggerating. Gander, send the movement not like this. And just try to make your life okay. You know, um, because we discussed about pentatonic scale the minor pentatonic scale and about major G major scale. I'm not insert a short short beach are withholding notes on the briefs so you can understand exactly what we're talking about. I do understand that this video is dedicated through the beginners. That's why I want you guys to learn old notes from the from the grief, uh, another deep for you way are discussing about a pentatonic scale. That means with three friends up the major skill will, we were having him with the minor scale. So if you're having the minor pentatonic skilled, these 13 friends up, okay, this one will be the major skill thing. Um, this is very good for you when you were improvising when you're playing over back on track . So let's see if you're having a back tracking G major, you can very easily lay in, you know, you mind kind of living scale. Okay, let's go with the exercise. The first exercise that I'm thinking off is in a C major C major scale. Okay, so the C major scale will beat this one if we're moving from the great three. This is the dominant in the interests ice because we are discussing about the pull off. We'll be based on three notes. Okay, on Try a Let's. I think this is the pronunciation pilots. Oh, just like this. Okay, so just take your finger off the street. Not like you just have to Big, big the stream that with your with your finger. Ok, so you just slow vibration. If you only release on president string the velocity and the clarity off the note one be very good. OK, so you could do this. That's that's not actually you have around bull to me. Well, when you were doing okay, take your finger a little. Be aggressive from the stream. Okay, So we're pitching it with when are picking giving a picture when they're picking it with your finger? They were somebody coming back to the exercise, right? The first part, That's a second. Okay, then we go ahead. I got from the beginning. No, that would be precise. Place very slow at normal speed. You can also play with sequences off this exercise with the matter on. If you want to play over a specific backing track, you can play with way. You can play over with a break in front. Okay, again, this is the first part. You were basically repeating the last three notes from the previous six months. Let me put this exercising conduct so you can understand better looking. Okay, this will give her size. Um, if you'll remember the camera technique from the previous lesson, you can also combine it. And you can You can go that way. The scene. Okay. Just like with the steal. Um, Okay, moving forward. The second newser size again with pull off the peak would be on a minor moaning scale. Okay, this one, this is the relative minor off the scene of the sea scale. Sorry. So if we are having a back tracking on C, we can play overworking tracking minor. Um, what is a harmonic skill? A harmonic skill needs them. The seventh note is with a semi tone higher than is normal scale. So you normally we will have the A mile skill the for morning your money movie with with seven. There's a difference off. Only a single sounds. Very the exercise. Remember, the a minor scale lease from this position is also indisposition. Fire the exercise. Is this one. Okay, let me put it in the comics so you can understand easily what I'm I do know that my English is not very good because I also have Ah, slight accent. Refused to European. So if you're OK with this, we can never have way. Um, if you want Teoh make a little bit complicated, Difficult. You can combine with Cameron. So I said you can do okay if you think care of that state that they gave you with the three friends. Okay, On No. Three friends and treat friends. It will be very easy for you to improvise in any scale. This was the biggest problem for me when I started playing guitar. There were some harmonies in different personalities and different scales, and I didn't know what to play over themselves. There were harmonies like C major, G major and a major. A minor. Sorry. I didn't know exactly what to pay over that after I learned the notes from the grave. OK, I know that this is the sea and the G was here on the able. It was very for me to to improvise, but before death, I just used the thumb rule, the one with three friends. Okay, so if this is the rules, no. Okay. The song using these Mr. 19 c major. Okay. I applied the three frets Rule one and and I improvised in this catatonic skill. I think it was like a revolution relation revelation form. You know, uh, when my friends and teachers and people that they jam with this was 10 years ago. Eight years, maybe We're jamming, you know, full all things with foreign aggressions. Uh, I just identified the rooting out. Okay, move. Three friends, one you have Teoh visualized to help in your mind in order to to be able to improvise and play over this. Okay, so each each Fred is with his finger. Okay? Just have to visualize it. And it would be very easy for you to be improvise over specific back contracts that making tracks that would be for today. Make sure you your breakfast with matter. No. Oh, don't worry. You call. Remember this. Drag the stream. Okay? And I'm pretty sure you will make it. Oh, see you next time you saved wash your hands and, uh, see you next time 4. Lesson Three: Bend & Release (Part 3/5): guys went from the third lesson off the scores. Today, we would be talking about Ban on release. These are very important. That means that they're using in electric guitar, but also in acoustic guitar techniques on face tiles. Most probably all of you heard about these techniques before. They are also very common in guitar solos. And basically there are three, three types off Ben's. We will be. We're speeding bands and release. Let's talk about bands first. A band is when you push the string with your fingers like this. Okay, so basically, you are just banding the stream. Uh, half a step full stick or a step and 1/2. So let me show you. This will be have a stuff. Okay. You can always stay with with the note that want to reach. Okay. This would be hopes that a full step is when you bend the note to friends. Okay? A full step is when you bend the note in order to get I don't after the No. Okay, So if you want, you have this note. Anyone get this note? Okay to friends. I want to You have to bend one full step. Uh, Okay. Okay. And you also have the three. The three friends bends. Okay, this will be and you can play with these exercises. This was the bank part. The release part is when you are actually releasing the string on note from the bend. Okay. So the miseries again, off step, full step. Step in the home. Okay. Okay. You just have to make sure you are on the right note. So we want to sound out of tune. Okay? This this is the tricky part, all right? And after you get used with these techniques, we will use them with all the problem. But I'm sure the first exercise, it has both band and release. Okay. Hey, once again. Okay. Um, without without the band, it would sound like Okay, let me put it in the context to understand whether you can do these exercises plating. B minor way. You remember the discussion about three friends? The fumble. This is the relative minor off the oh, the major skills. Okay. Okay. First exercise. Oh, he's again on the A minor scale, and he's is following the Panasonic being minor pentatonic scale. Okay. Would be this one. Sure. What's load this thing, then it would be a contact. So GAnderson that would be that the the exercise. Um, again, Make sure you paid with the belief that Frank it will help you to play over a backing because you have the musical background, the Malloy parting. Better on you. Want some out off? All right. If you have no need to bend, have a step. And that was something. Oh, just play over a backing track with a click track and then official you 5. Lesson Four: Slide (Part 4/5): had advised you today's lesson we will talk about the slide technique. Okay. This life technique is a very simple guitar to me again. You can use it in acoustic guitar, classic star, electric guitar, bass guitar. You can visiting. Well, not everything you want. The slight technique as the name suggests you just a slide from a note to another note. Okay. There is no specific interval or distance between the note that this life room to the note that slide to Okay. So, um, as they said, just slide from for must see from a note. Okay. Like this. Okay, the slide can be a sanding, okay. Or descending. Okay. Just make sure that you played correctly with the deep over from on the stream and make sure there are not other notes that are played with that with No, that's one place. Okay, let me show you one more time. Okay? They say we want a slide from from No. Okay. Okay. This is understanding those life. But the sending slide would be this one. The first things recites I'm gonna shoe. Is this one okay? No. Let me put it in a box for you. All right. These exercise and the 2nd 1 that I'm gonna show you both are in D minor. In the minor scale will be mothers killed. Okay, let's go ahead with the second exercise again. The same scale, the minor. Okay, I hope that you know this. We have a hammer own over here. Let me put it in the tropics for you so you can understand Variously blazer size. No problem. Um, the slide is a very, very simple. You talk with me, it brings effect. Brings dynamism if you're playing. So it's not If you say something, I like it. Sounds everybody. But if you brings a sort of Miami's on, you know, in your place there, um, have to beat for today. Make sure your practice and giving touch. 6. Lesson Five: Vibrato (Part 5/5): Hello, everyone. Welcome to the last lesson off the scores. This lesson will be dedicated to the B. Brad. Oh, okay. Librato is that technique that brings vibrating effect with that nose that explain? OK, basically, it is There are multiple types of braving, but the one that we will be using for acoustic and electric guitar is this one. Okay, you have the deep of her thumb. Yeah, on the stream data feed strength. And you just have to press the stream and give it the slide upward and down Work. Mobile feeling, please. Okay, you go. This is Ah, Brattle. Most drama you've seen thes Seiple, brother. Okay, this is specific for classical players. Okay? This is not the the best light off Deborah when playing dark. Ok, uh, you can also do this Be brother technique on when you are banding the stream. Okay. When you are, you basically do the same thing. But you are moving the stream when it is okay. This is a trademark off Gary Moore. Most probably. Yeah, bend in the stream on vibrating. Um, when you are doing, you traveled with me. You have to make sure that the broad always fits in the time off the some of you. So if you are having a song that has a specific bpm, All right. Make sure you thought you do it. Let's see, fast looking, okay. Or if you If you want to do it on time, you can think we don't like you are having a week. Okay? My favorite one is the first. My great. Okay, just for you. You buy Brady and come back to the roots. I haven't exercise for you. Okay? It is. You know, c minor scale. Okay. And with some ladies, Forsythe thing is, when you're linger vibrato, make sure you do it from your wrist. OK, so you're not moving your or just figure you can You can move. Just a theory. If you feel comfortable with it. Is not the mosque awful? Um, movements just bring some help from from a recent from from the finger. OK, let me put the precise complex to understand. Okay, Let's do it one more time. But this time we will do the one time. I prefer the first time that the one that is mostly used by by most of the players. You want it sounds very good, Is the one that's most dynamic. So yeah, he was at home. Um, this will be the end of this Worse. I hope you guys learn something from for my videos.
