Project Description

Create a channel-specific social media strategy for a brand

ASSIGNMENT

You'll create a channel-specific social media strategy for a brand. How? By creating 1 piece of content — something that represents the best story you can tell — on a specific platform. In this class, we cover Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Twitter. Choose one of these or several. The important thing is to identify and share the why behind your decision in the class project gallery.

This class is all about taking the ideas in my brain and giving you the foundation and framework to help you understand that we're living in a context world, not just a content world. I love social media because it sells. This project gets you thinking about how to take these lessons and sell your brand to your audience on the platform that makes sense for you.

DELIVERABLE

A completed project will include the following

  • Brief answer to the question "What's my story?"
  • 1 piece of content created for a specific platform
  • Brief description of your "why" — why this content? why this platform? why now?
