About This Workshop
Welcome to #PowerLaunch 2016: Create a Kick-ass Resume. This session will take you through Eazl’s signature resume-building course with former SF Bay area recruiter Davis Jones. Upon completion of the session, you’ll have a kick-ass resume and, as a nice additional benefit, you’ll likely build stronger business writing skills. You’ll learn how to identify your most marketable professional skills, how to re-frame professional experiences powerfully, and how to build trust with your writing. You’ll also get personal feedback on your new resume from Davis and the Eazl team.
The person who writes the most kick-ass resume will also win a one-year premium membership to Skillshare. (Woohoo!)
Timeline and Milestones (Note: these dates are suggested—you can get ahead if you like.)
- On or before December 21st, enroll in the class and join the Eazl Career Lounge if you're on Facebook.
- By December 24th you should be through lecture 8. By now you should have a draft of your Big Six Skills and three buzzwords or examples of matching language.
- By December 27th you should be through lecture 14 and have written two powerful draft bulletpoints.
- By December 29th you should be through the SideBYSide tutorials (the rest of the course) and have a draft of your resume. Also on December 29th, we’ll be hosting a live AMA (Ask Me Anything) at 10am CST in the Eazl Career Lounge where you can ask any questions you have prior to the project due date. We're here to support you!
- Your kick-ass resume is due by the end of the day on December 31st. You can post it publicly or privately in the project gallery. The participant with the best resume, as judged by the Eazl team, will win a year of Skillshare Premium!
During the session, we will encourage you along with reminders to help you hit the session milestones!
