Welcome!
Join me in this workshop on paper engineering. You'll learn the basics of paper engineering and one mechanism that you'll get to apply to your illustrations.
The project for this workshop is to apply the mechanism you learned on the class to an illustration, a card, or whatever you want. You can follow the structure of the mechanism provided on the class or you can explore further and modify it the way your creativity leads you. The important thing is to have fun and let your creativity explore and create.
Remember, if you upload your projects somewhere other than skillshare use the hashtag #PaperEngineeringClass so I can check them out.
If you need help creating illustrations for your mechanisms you can take my other class Bring Life To Illustrations With Engaging Concepts where you can learn how to come up with interesting results.
I included the templates for all the exercises and the mechanism.
The schedule for the workshop goes like this:
On October 14th: Watch videos 1,2 and 3 and just become familiar with paper engineering.
From October 15th to October 17th: Watch video 4 and upload your first exercise.
From October 18th to October 20th: Watch video 5 and upload your second exercise.
From October 21th to October 23th: Watch video 6 and upload your third exercise.
From October 24th to October 26th: Watch video 7 and upload your fourth exercise.
From October 27th to November 4th: Watch videos 8, 9 and 10, create your mechanism and upload it.
If you have questions or any thoughts on the class, don't be shy and share them on the Discussions section of the workshop.
Join the workshop and let's have some fun!
