About This Workshop
Join me in this workshop to become a Sketch app pro in two weeks. Through a series of videos you learn the basics of Sketch, what pages, artboards and masks are, how to design some icons and how easy it is export your finished designs. In the end you will have designed a beautiful profile card.
To help you get the most out the workshop I will give indivdual feedback for each posted project and I will gladly answer every question that may come up.
How it works:
- Enroll in the class and watch the video lessons to learn the skills you need to complete each step.
- Every few days, you’ll receive an email outlining which project step to complete next.
- Post your project steps in the class’ project gallery to get feedback from your classmates. Remember that everyone is learning and Skillshare is collaborative environment so make sure to offer feedback to your classmates.
Prerequisites:
You don't need any special skills to join the workshop. It's great if you are already familiar with Sketch and design in general, but if not I will teach you everything you need to know about the design app.
Schedule:
- January 18th - January 20th:
Watch all the videos in the "Getting Started" section: lessons 1-3 (9 minutes)
First project step: Start your project in the gallery and write how you plan to alter the design of the profile card.
Project step due: Wednesday, January 20th, 11pm CET - January 21st - January 24th:
Watch the video lessons 4-6 (24 minutes)
Second project step: Set up the card, add the basic shapes and the text, share your progress in the gallery.
Project step due: Sunday, January 24th, 11pm CET - January 25th - January 28th:
Watch the video lessons 7-10 (29 minutes)
Third project step: Create the icons and complete the remaining elements. Submit your finished card to the gallery.
Project step due: Thursday, September 28th, 11pm CET
