In this workshop, you’ll join two Procreate pros for a fun and whimsical foray into the world of botanicals! Begin with techniques for adding depth, shadow, and highlights to your plants; then learn how to build patterns from your designs. This workshop is accessible for beginners. All you need is access to Procreate.
Workshop Timeline
- Milestone 1: First up, join illustrator Liz Kohler Brown in Ink Illustration Techniques in Procreate. Liz walks you through three different ways to use ink lines and dots to add shadow, highlights, and depth to your work. You’ll learn tips and tricks for hatching, cross-hatching, and stippling, and explore adding bold color to your linework to add variation and contrast. Share your illustration in the Project Gallery by July 13th.
- Milestone 2: Next, join Di Ujdi in Create an Intricate, Editable Floral Pattern in Procreate. You’ll learn a straightforward method for building editable, repeat patterns, with tips on organizing your elements correctly, making adjustments as you go, and recoloring to achieve different eye-catching effects. Share your patterns in the Project Gallery by July 27th.
