In this workshop, there is a limited number of spaces so that I can give feedback to each of you when you complete each milestone. This feedback will be posted to your class project You can ask questions in the discussion area of the workshop and I will answer them as well.
On Day 10 I will be answering your questions about creating your artist bio and the blub for the back cover. I am excited to see what you create in the workshop, and I hope that it will help you be able to take your art to a whole ne level.
Day 1 Tuesday, March 1, 2016 : Start your project in the class. This is where you will receive feedback on your progress. Start working on your theme. Sign up for a createspace account so you can build your book for publichation.
Day 2 Wednesday, March 2, 2016: Descide on a theme for the illustrations in your book, and update your class project with this information. Once tyour theme is finished, decided on a title for your book and add it to your createspace title by starting a new title. This will help you get an ISBN number that you will need when you start creating your inside pages. Begin working on your sketches.
Day 5 Saturday, March 5, 2016: Upload your scanned sketches in a thumbnail size. You need to have at least 1/2 of your sketches for your book. Post these to your class project. Continue to work on your other sketches.
Day 10 Thursday, March 1, 2016: Upload your final scanned sketches in thumbnail size to your class project. Start working on your front and back covers. You can post questions in class for help with your artist bio and the back cover blub today.
Day 15 Tuesday, March 15, 2016: Upload a low res image of your front and back cover to your class project. Start working on your inside page setup. Upload your high res images to the cover creator on createspace. Down load the PDF image of your finished cover. Uploade a Screenshot of your finished cover to your class project.
Day 20 Sunday, March 20, 2016: Upload a Screenshot of the print preview on the inside pages of your book. Upload the inside pages to createspace.
Day 21 Monday, March 21, 2016: You should be ready to publish your book. Make sure to order a proof of your book so that you can make sure everything it how you want it to look.
Day 28 Monday, March 28, 2016: You should have your proof in hand if you ordered on the 21st. Please post a picture of your finished book to your class project.
Day 30 Wednesday, March 30, 2016: Once you have approved your proof , you can have it sold on Amazon. When you reach this milestone please post a link to your book on Amazon in your class project.
For each person that completes this workshop I will send you a PDF copy of my first two coloring books. You must complete each milestone and post the correct step outs by the end of the workshop.
