Is it your dream to learn to play by EAR?
Let me tell you: This course is for EVERYONE who wants to learn to play by EAR.
Myth: Play by Ear is only for the gifted.
Let me tell you: People who are born with this gift does not need to learn. They know it in their head. Only .01% of the population belongs to this elite group.
I am creating a series of workshops to help ordinary people like you and me to pick up the skill of playing by ear. If you are not born with this gift, you are not doomed. Anyone can learn to play by EAR.
Most of us are 'boring' people and that's why we don't know how to play by ear. So in this first class, you are going to be 'unboring'. I am going to do a project with you to TAP into your creative mind to set you becoming creative by thinking about 7. This is going to be FUN as you watch yourself grow in your creativity!
When your mind is tapped into creativity, that will set you off to really learn to play by ear. If you don't, you are going to be forever stuck with a boring mind to read music and never acquire the play by ear skill.
Requirement:
- love listening to music
- no need to have music studies
- no need to have music theories
- can help if you play an instrument, any instrument even using your mouth to hum songs, that's all that is required
Goal:
1. This First Class will give you some foundation of music theory:
- there are only 12 UNIQUE music tones
- these 12 tones repeat themselves
- these 12 tones create 5 different kinds of scales
- songs are mainly of major keys
- songs are usually made up of these 7 tones
2. Tap into your Creative Mind with 7!
- to learn to play by ear, free your mind
- while there are rules to music, I am going to tap into your creative mind
- you are going to be involved in a project to get your right brain going!
How It WORKS:
1. Watch the 7 Videos in this class: Play by Ear # 1: Get to know 7
2. Do the project: Tap into your Creative Mind into the world of 7
- Think of 7 in the universe or pattern of 7 in your life
- Draw a picture of that or take a picture of that
- Upload your image in the project area
- Write a little bit of description about this 7.
