If you’re ready to take your characters to the next level, you’re in the right place! Join two digital illustrators for a deep dive into what makes characters memorable and fun. You’ll learn how to think about poses, body shapes, and expressions to create characters that stand out. Some familiarity with drawing and Procreate will be helpful, but adventurous beginners are welcome! You’ll need Procreate and an Apple Pencil to participate.
Workshop Timeline
- Milestone 1: First up, join illustrator Sarah Holliday in Drawing People: Creating Unique and Dynamic Character Poses in Procreate. Sarah walks you through how to design diverse, stylized people. Then, you’ll learn how to use poses to bring movement and life to your work. Share your illustration in the Project Gallery by November 9th.
- Milestone 2: Next up, join illustrator Maia Faddoul in Illustrating Expressive Portraits in Procreate. Now that you’ve explored poses, it’s time to focus on faces. Maia explores sketching, choosing your colors, and using patterns and media brushes to give your portraits personality. Share your portrait in the Project Gallery by November 23rd.
