We recently reached an exciting milestone at Skillshare - 5 million members! This means more students than ever are on Skillshare and looking for classes from new Teachers just like you.
In our 30-day Teach Challenge, each week will include milestones to keep you on track, one-on-one support from our Community team, tips for making the best possible content, and fun prizes.
Challenge Timeline
- Milestone 1 - due September 6th. Watch the Teach an Amazing Skillshare Class. Then, start your class project in Teach an Amazing Skillshare Class and share your class topic and class project in the project gallery.
- Milestone 2 - due September 12th. Complete your own outline using this outline template. Share a link to your outline in your class project.
- Milestone 3 - due September 18th. Post your introduction video or a sample video lesson on Youtube, and embed the link into your project or share the direct URL.
- Milestone 4 - due September 30th. Publish your complete Skillshare class!

Monday, September 10th at 2pm EST: Class Planning AMA with cartoonist, illustrator, and Top Teacher Ira Marcks.
- Learn Ira’s process for planning his classes, receive helpful resources and ask any open questions you have about teaching on Skillshare! Take a look at his class, Concept Art: Illustration by Design: A Guide to Elevating Your Drawing Skills, to get a feel for his aesthetic.
Monday, September 24th at 1pm EST: Class Merchandising AMA with with painter and Top Teacher Audrey Ko.
- Audrey will offer advice on everything from creating a great cover image to writing an engaging class description. Check out Audrey's class, Watercolor Botanical Painting: Peony for a peek at her clear + engaging teaching style.
Prizes
Each week of the Challenge, we will be giving away prizes to make it even easier to publish your class and find success on Skillshare.
Publish your first class in the September Teach Challenge (which you must have joined by September 6th, 2018) in one of the below topics, and we’ll match your October royalty payment up to $100!
