Howdy!

I'm Heidi - Texas native and lover of the outdoors and a mean cook/baker. I dabbled in yoga, mostly more vigorous types, until I became pregnant with my first son. That's when I had to start modifying my practice and seeking out other types of yoga because I simply felt too ill to do my normal practice.

After I had my son and experienced a lot of stress and anxiety about being a first time mom, I started seeking out non-physical types of yoga and delved into meditation and mindfulness. Eventually I got my 200-hour and 500-hour yoga certifications in yoga therapy and opened my own studio.

By the time I was pregnant with my second son, my practice had evolved to include all types of yoga - and it showed in how much better I felt. I practiced and taught right up to the week I gave birth and was back at it again within just a few days. I credit yoga completely to the difference in my two pregnancies.

Nowadays I appreciate the restorative yoga practices more than ever! I have over 1000 hours teaching people of all walks of life how to move and breathe to reduce stress and anxiety in their life. I've written articles for yoga journals and also had the pleasure of leading three yoga retreats and teaching others to become yoga instructors. I love introducing new people to yoga and meditation!

As part of my yoga journey, I've also started creating healthy meals and snack for my family and friends. I'm thrilled to be teaching short classes on easy, nutritious recipes anyone can use.
