‘Top Teachers’ represent our most active, engaged, and high-quality teachers on Skillshare. They rank among the top 1% of teachers on the platform. 

‘Top Teachers’ are offered exclusive perks to support their success, which include the following:

  • ‘Top Teacher’ badge on profile
  • Account manager from Skillshare
  • Guaranteed marketing features
  • Private community forum, events, and access to new beta products

We take the following criteria into account when selecting ‘Top Teachers’:

  • Student Engagement Levels: Classes rank in the top 1% for student engagement.
  • Quality of Content: Creates exemplary content for students and adheres to all Class and Community Guidelines.
  • Activity: Remains active on the platform by publishing at least 1 class every 6 months.
  • Engagement with Students: Goes above and beyond to connect with students by answering questions, sharing resources, and providing thoughtful feedback on projects.
  • Teacher Brand and Profile: Profile is a cohesive and consistent representation of individual and brand.

Teachers to Watch

‘Teachers to Watch’ represent a broader community of high-quality and up & coming teachers on Skillshare.

‘Teachers to Watch’ are offered exclusive perks to increase their success, which include the following:

  • Private community forum
  • Exclusive class creation and marketing workshops
  • Expedited email support from the Teacher Support Team

We take the following criteria into account when selecting ‘Teachers to Watch’:

  • Student Engagement: Classes rank in the top 10% for student engagement.
  • Quality of Content: Creates high-quality and engaging content for students and adheres to all Class and Community Guidelines.
  • Activity: Remains active on the platform by publishing at least 1 class every 6 months.
  • Engagement with Students: Connects with students by answering questions and providing thoughtful feedback on projects.
  • Teacher Brand and Profile: Profile is a cohesive and consistent representation of individual and brand.

All Teachers are reviewed on a regular basis by the Teacher Success Team to determine eligibility and ensure they continue to meet the criteria. Teachers are notified of their eligibility via email.
