I grew up in a family where gardening was part of every spring and summer. I learned to love food fresh from the garden because my mother and grandmother were amazing cooks with fresh ingredients.

Competing in sports was a significant part of my teens and early adulthood. So, I tended to focus on eating healthy from an early age knowing that better eating would complement better sports outcomes!

When I'm in the garden, I feel energized. Whether its propagating herbs or picking berries - I find it rewarding and inspiring to be part of the circle of life.

My wife and I, live with our 4 children on an organic hobby farm. We have fruit trees, lots of berries, a swimming pond, chickens, pets and lots and lots of veggies.

It's very satisfying for me when I get to join with others as they discover growing food for themselves :)
