The class project will be to use one of the techniques to create a finished botanical painting.

Choose your inspiration. Visit the botanical collection I curated on Unsplash.com or find your own inspiration. I've also included the photos I used in the demonstrations here in the project section.
Choose how many markers to use. I recommend starting with just 1 or 2 for your first illustration.
Draw a light guiding sketch. Remember, your photo is just for inspiration, it doesn't have to be an exact copy.
Draw over your sketch with a water-based marker. Decide if you want a Saturated painting or a more Transparent painting. Use that to guide how much marker to use on your sketch.
Time to paint! Use a brush and clean water or a water-handle brush. The water-base marker is your pigment.
Take a photo or scan your finished artwork.
