You have found the Class Project description! That’s a great start.

Here is a summary of what I would like you to learn and accomplish:

Character Design -> reference sheet
Expression and gesture -> reference sheet
Mouth shapes -> reference sheet
Lip sync animation

Below you can find detailed descriptions of your tasks. Feel free to adjust the assignment to your skill and comfort level:

Develop some character
Give your character personality and an attitude, applying the principles of Character Design for Animation.
Create a sheet that shows different gestures that are typical for your character and reflect their characteristics.
If you are feeling stuck, check out some drawing prompts or get inspired.

Come up with a simple character and create a sheet of different emotions: Happy, angry, sad, disgusted, suspicious, surprised.
Your character can also just be a smiley face, or you can use the provided character design as a starting point!
Stretch these facial muscles
Get familiar with the mouth shapes. Film and study a line of dialogue you speak yourself, and then put down your own reference sheet!
Alternatively use the provided sheet and apply them to your own character design!

Animate that line!
You can now use your own recorded line of text (or one of the attached) to create your first lip sync animation!
Don’t be scared, you already got all the tools in hand.
You can choose to stick with a static animation, to practice the lip sync, or you go into BOSS MODE and create an acted out character! If you want, you can even put them in a fancy background for extra mood, or you add a character that listens / reacts to your main character. This can make for a great little story beat!

You have completed your adventure with a plus 3 to awesomeness! You are basically a god now, for you have created a living, breathing and talking creature! Congratulations :-)
