Quiz: What stage am I in? (download course resources PDF)

Assignment: Reflection Exercise

Imagine your ideal client project. Who are you working with? What are you making? What is the assignment?
Now, imagine that you are the client. What are your goals? Why have you chosen you as an artist? Biggest concerns? How can the artist proactively address these concerns?
Share your thoughts and reflections in your class project.

Lesson 9

Assignment: Do some research and draft your own contract template. Find (by googling) and read several templates; google any terms you don’t understand; get familiar with the language. Pick 1 or 2 templates and look over them with the “10 Key Points to Include in Every contract” in mind. Are all 10 there? Do they look different? Does anything need to be added or amended? Are there things in the contract that aren’t specifically relevant to you that could be removed?

Pick a template to use as a starting point and add in or modify the basic 4 components above. Upload an image of your completed invoice template in your class project.

BONUS Lesson:

Assignment: Capture, edit, and share an image of your work. Use a camera or a scanner. Shoot and edit according to the end use. Let us know your intended use when you share the image in your class project.
