Oh yeah man, that third skull is really badass!  I love how you gave up the literal detail and just started coming up with your own contours. The radials coming off the eyes are really cool too.  However, I gotta say that while the bright green splatter looked great on the last piece, it's just not working for me on this one.  Not sure if it's the color, the shape, or just me but I feel like a simple yellow stroke or a halftone halo effect would detract less from the strength of the skull... Anyways, now I want to go draw more skulls!

Wow!  I also really like the second attempt.  The bullet hole, splatter background add a lot and it looks like you built up a lot more control of the line weight in that one.  One thing I might suggest that I felt added a lot to mine would be to increase the brush size and go back around the outer edge of the whole skull, particularly the teeth and give it a thicker stroke.

I prefer this one,the skull stands out better, the green splat on the previous was a bit distracting.
