Similarity Effect
Using the similarity effect with people that I had been introduced to had a positive effect.
1. Mirroring their body language helped me and the other person bond more, thinking it was "unintentional" occurance, it led to some laughs and jokes about us thinking and acting on the same wave length.
2. Figuring out their language is harder than it seems, and using the same words they use towards them also had a significant impact on how they react. I realized that the words that they use are compliments they usually never get which would lead to a further bonding and a feeling of closeness with the other person.
In conclusion, the similarity effect is a good way to bond with another person since it traps the other person in an thought and feeling that you are more alike to them than most people. Making him/her engage in more conversations and activities with you/
