Portfolio Website

Portfolio Website - student project

I want to create a website portfolio to send to future clients. I have worked with very basic wireframes before as I work as a web designer, but thought it would be a good idea to start from scratch. I wanted to think about the journey, with pen and paper, rather than going straight into photoshop and filling each section with information before i've even finished the layout.

I found this allowed to me to think of layouts and amend these much more quickly, rather than being more specific and technical in photoshop, which should come much later. This was a great project to sharpen my skills and get me thinking as more of a UX designer, than just a web designer.

I started drawing rough layouts with pencil and finalised this in pen over the top.

I then transferred these into photoshop, where I defined the box sizes and font type and size.

1. Homepage

2. Click through to 'work' landing page

3. Click through to 'Play' landing page

4. I started to play with a few layouts of components that I could use within a portfolio page. Each of these will be different, depending on what i'd like to show from that project. It will be mainly full width imagery and half width with annotations if a particular piece needs some annotation.

Not a totally complete project, but it's definitely helped and worked for what I needed it to!

Any suggestions or comments, i'd love to hear them!
