Merchant Family Townhouses/shops
IMy project is a medieval timber framed structure which I imagine to be the home of a wealthy merchant family. There’s plenty of living space and there’s two shops at ground level.
I’ve tried to add lots of detail, like the acanthus style leaf carving on the beams, the “bottle glass” in the windows, the ironwork hinges on the doors and things learned from the previous “Drawing Houses Step by Step”, such as the shingle roof and the wood textures. It looks a bit dull and lifeless in my opinion, maybe because it's not drawn in perspective, or maybe there's too much detail, maybe the lack of accurate shadows and light, I'm not sure. Oh well, that just means plenty of work and learning to do and lots more fun to be had. Loved this class too, thanks Elwira. On to the next course.
Cheers,
Enda.
