When I saw this class I couldn't wait to try the Improv Quilting techniques!  I had purchased a book on the subject a while back, but had never taken the jump to try out the technique.  Once I saw Donalee's video, it seemed much easier to understand.   

I really had fun chopping up fabric and sewing it back together in a funky mish-mash!  I loved the freedom of not measuring!  I wasn't terribly brave with my fabric choices, staying with pinks & whites!  I designed the 3 print fabrics myself and had them printed by Spoonflower.  It was really fun to use my own designs!  I just did "stitch in the ditch" quilting for this one. 

I'm so delighted with how my potholder turned out!  I have it on display in my kitchen....which has absolutely no pink in it!  Oh well.  It needed some pink!   

I can't wait to try the Improv technique in many other projects.  It's so much fun, I'm already itching to make more!
