Head Drawing: Structure & Rhythm

Hi Kevin, Nice to see you post another batch of sketches! I think the best part of these is that everything looks in alignment for all your axis lines which is great, especially for the angled ones. What I would maybe like to see is if you can take a longer time to develop the drawings (if possible) and really flush out the features more. This doesn't mean more 'shading' necessarily, but really get into the construction process and try and get those extra bits of information in the features and the head structure to make them feel more solid. I would suggest maybe spending a few hours or more on a single drawing and block in everything you can. You don't even to shade at all. I find that giving yourself that extra time on a single drawing will really help in the long run. Its hard at first to be patient if the drawing is feeling like its a 'slow' process. The speed will come with practice though and pay off. Even with more own drawings now I can still easily spend a few hours on a basic line drawing making sure I measure everything and double checking proportions and all. Give that a shot on your next drawing and I would love to see what you can do!

Hello sir Mark, I uploaded a new drawing that I did that took me an hour and 20 minutes, I made sure that I got the construction and proportions right, is it correct or does it need more block-ins? Thank you sir.

This update looks a lot better to me. I'm glad that you spent more time on this, and I think it shows improvement versus the quicker sketches. Overall, it has a much stronger sense of solidity. 

In terms of next steps, I would continue to push the construction of each feature. Look for more planes, more overlaps (especially in the eyes) and start to develop these areas further as best you can. This drawing is a great step in the right direction so keep going!
