For the reference I choose my own photo, just for fun :) I was interested if I can look like minimalistic and fashion model. So this is me

I didn't want to make a portrait too realistic, so I decided to draw it on eye. I started with ellipse and proportional lines as it was shown in mini lessons. Then I identified my eyes as almond like and eyebrows as arch like. Nose and lips were pretty easy to draw, I stuck a bit with face shape. I thought it's better to highlight only forehead and chin. 
So here my sketch

And this is a final sketch too, cause I forgot to make earlier shot.

I work in Illustrator CC, but almost all things about it are the same. But for the first time it was pretty hard to not make too many lines.

I edited hair and eyes about 10 or more times. I still don't like it. I think there must be an accent, but I don't see it. 

And added some color
