Food Photography: Capturing Food in Your Kitchen

Love the natural feeling of these photos!

This is beautiful! Love how you got the hand in there too - showing the action.

Good shots but pity the background distracts. I'd never use a pattern with such a busy foreground. Just have a plain table and see the food jump out of the picture. And a common white and green tea towel background lowers the tone anyway in  my eyes. so there is a mixture of backgrounds.  For a food photo the vine tomatoes should have stalks that look fresh not shrivelled, and probably connected. I'd never put two uncut slices of bread like that, it should be cut in half but a bread roll is preferred as it looks more attractive and would be usually served with a meal. There appears to be a blemish on one of the tomatoes.What exactly are the granules in the scoop? and in one photo some granules are spilt on the table. I'm not a professional photographer and so might be totally wrong Just my personal opinion. Any feedback would be welcome

Instead of Natural Light I used one studio light and placed it on 45 Angle and shot these images. This Class on DIY Food Photography really helped me to get these great shots! What are your thoughts on this?
