These are all so gorgeous. My favorite is the strawberry jam although the matryoshka comes a very close second :)

beautiful sketch to the last prompt. i agree that traveling is inspiring and it really help open our eyes to the beauty of this world. I really like your take on the contents of.. the russian doll is adorable! ooh that’s one cool bike! we also have papa johns and i like their pizza. beautiful bright red! i like how Kitchen uses complementary color for their interior.. very sophisticated sketch! beautiful installation and such fun and colorful! I think there’s a lot of picture opportunities for this! i like how special the spoon is.. looks like it came out from fairy tale! brilliant colors! thank you for sharing your stories and heart, Marina. The mix with your sketch, the colors, the splashes and your lettering is really awesome! I tried to create the sort of color splashes you use, but it's still awkward. I love that style, though! Thanks Anja:) when the sketch is rather complicated  I use a pencil first (if I have time). And when the object is simple - a pen is ok:)

Hi Maria,  I loved your style! I feel like you bring the true beauty and potential of watercolours. The dreamy look yet vibrant palette is amazing. If you dont mind me asking may I know how long it took to spot your style and develop it? I have been sketching for a couple of months and I lean towards vibrant colours and still working on identifying my style. Again your sketches are art :)

Hi Nancy! Thank you for your comment:) I made my first sketches about a month ago:)) Until then, I drew a long time ago, in my childhood. I recently discovered watercolor again. The main thing I advice you -  is to learn working with the color wheel, to understand how it works. This will allow you to  mix colors in the right way and get the correct shades. You will have more confidence in what you do and you will no longer be afraid of watercolors.  I didn't work on my signature style, it came itself:) I just understood the main aspects in watercolor painting and began to use it in practice! I just do as I feel:)

Thanks for your response Marina! About the style what you are saying makes sense. But having developed it in a month is just something wonderful! Thank you for the thoughtful tip on the color wheel. I definitely need to resist some colours, I am just too drawn to them which is clouding my palette development.

I absolutely love your style!  Beautiful!  What do you use as a medium?  Watercolor and pen, watercolor pens?  I'm starting to experiment with brush pens, but could use some advice.  Thanks!

Thank you Sara! I draw outlines by pen first, and then added some color with watercolor.. That's all:) I use brushes of different sizes and types

Your lines are simply amazing! I love the texture in the hair of your self portrait. How did you get that texture with watercolor?

Thanks! I drew hair by dry brush with watercolor and added some accents with black pen:)

Love your drawings! I enjoy the clean lines and the watercolor makes them feel dreamy. My favorite is the strawberry jam; the calligraphy is beautiful and the shading on the strawberry is very realistic. Amazing work! :)
