Sara Bibi had a strict upbringing. Her Mum was a sweet woman and had always supported her. Her neighbor's son, Faruk was her childhood playmate/classmate and often made trips to her house to eat her Mum's chicken curry. He adores her cooking. Even as a kid, he made Sara promise that she would cook curries like this when he marries her one day.

Sara's ambition was to graduate as a teacher and then marry Faruk but her father's ambition was to get her married to his friend's son and secure business from his father. Her education didn't matter.

Sara's attempt to change her father's mind proved too exhausting. 

Her married life was unhappy and eventually became brave enough to leave when she found out that her husband was actually gay.
