Hi! I like this class. It is simple and good for beginners, and it was useful for me too, despite I'm not beginner. I saw in Internet some beautiful pictures with lettering in flowered frames. I think it looks very awsome!
Here the exampe of what I'm talking about (from internet):
I has doing frames just with leaves, but I wanted to add some flowers too. And now learned cool and simple way to do that!
So here my sketches of flowers in my sketchbook:
Now it is the birthday of bodypositive community on vk.com (it is Russian facebook). I love this community and I'm the one of it's moderators, so I do the lettering, thats meand "Happy Birthday, Live Beauty" (it is the name of community).
And I draw the flowered frame. I erase much times flowers and lettering, so sketch is little bit dirty.
I don't wanted to paint on it, so I decided to make clean copy. I overdraw this drawing with black marker. And tried to add texture, to see what i'll can get. I think it looks cool without colors too:
And I used the window to trace sketch on new sheet of paper.
I have no such cool markers as in the class (but now I want it)). So I decided to use watercolor. I try on my sketch in sketchbook:
I made a big mistake: I don't wanted to go outside and buy watercolor paper and used just printer paper. Guys, don't do that! It make waves and color not laying good (color absorbs in one moment). I have some experience with drawing and I'm brave and fast, so I have nice result anyway, but if you can, just not ever use printer paper for watercolor :)
Here my colors and very light pencil sketch:
And then I made outlines with black jell ink pen.
It looks rather better :)
And final step: texturing:
I liked also my black and white sketch that I used for tracing. And I decided to paint it with my markers. They have no watercolor effect, it is just markers from Ikea for children. So I make areas with sharp edges to fill it with one color. Final result I like too, it is more bright and expressive. Watercolor result are gentle and more romantic.
