#100DaysofSkillShareProjects - Day 92

#100DaysofSkillShareProjects - Day 92 - student project

This was a great class and below are a nugget or so I took from each tip.

Tip #1:

In the beginning, she thought she had to be everything to everyone. Finding your style, your niche is going to benefit you in the long run.

Tip #2:

Compare what you are offering to what other designers/illustrators are offering. Ask for 50% upfront (deposit) and expect the rest of the 50% around a week later.

Tip #3:

Take the time to really decorate your space. Develop you own area for creativity.

Tip #4:

Those one or two clients can turn into 20, 30, 40 etc. The client is always right.

Tip #5:

(If something comes up.) Communicate with your clients if it's a hard deadline or if it's a little more flexible. ALWAYS BE ON TIME.

Tip #6:

When working in a design studio, it isn't just what you think. It has to be in sync with the vision of the entire team.

Tip #7:

Communication is what separates the amateur from the professional.
