At the end of this class, you will have acquired new tools and techniques to work with your brush pen and improve your ink drawings, and will come away with a bunch of new drawings to show for it!

Class Project

For the class project, you are invited to create:

an exploration page that has several different sections exploring line weight, line speed, changes in the shape, angle and grip of your brush pen, hard edges and soft edges.
an abstract exploration drawing where you will apply these newly-acquired tools & techniques
an abstract or semi-abstract drawing where a particular technique is repeated and varied, to create an interesting pattern or shape.
a figurative drawing (subject of your choice) that uses one or several of the techniques covered in the class
