Let's Create 3D Paper Art with Watercolor Flowers

For the final project, I suggest working on a smaller sized piece of watercolor paper 5x7) so that you can create a project that is perfect for framing or gift giving. Sometimes working smaller can help you achieve the results you desire more quickly and if your happy along the way, it brings you more JOY. What a great feeling!

Of course, you can work on any size watercolor paper you desire and if a sketchbook is more your style, FANTASTIC. This class is all about relaxing into painting, enjoying the process and creating fun watercolor embellishments to enhance your project.

Creating the 3D Paper Art Project

For the final project you will be bringing together all of the techniques you learn in the technique videos to create an exploding with color, 3D floral project that looks like it's popping out of a vase.

In the final project you will:

Paint Sunflower Blooms
Paint Small Layering Floral Blooms
Paint Silver Dollar Eucalyptus
Paint Leaves + Filler Greenery
Create Watercolor Background Paper to make a Vase
Add details and pull it all together into a frameable piece of art
Smile as your heart is filled with JOY for the painting you created

Be sure to download the supply handout and practice sheet handout in the "Your Project" area of this class. You can print out the practice sheet on a piece of watercolor paper and keep as a technique reference.

I've also attached a practice handout where I've illustrated the flower bloom. You can download and practice your color combinations and/or use them as embellishments for your final project.
