I'm an author and designer working with and writing about emerging technologies — like genomics, robotics, and AI. My design work has been featured in the Atlantic, WIRED, Forbes, and the Huffington Post.

I've written, edited, and contributed to nine fiction and non-fiction books, including “Designing for Emerging Technologies” (O’Reilly Media), which offers a glimpse into what future interactions and user experiences may look like for rapidly developing technologies — from the IoT to nano printers to workforce robotics. My sci-fi novel, "Marvin and the Moths" (Scholastic) co-authored with New York Times bestseller Matthew Holm, is a weird, wonderful adventure for young readers. My books and articles have been translated into Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

At the GoInvo design studio in Boston, I'm a leader of the firm’s emerging technologies practice, working with clients like Partners HealthCare, the Personal Genome Project, and Walgreens.
