Hi! thank you so much for your comment! I had taken a break from making classes, but hearing your feedback has really got me excited to get back into it. I've already considered making more in-depth classes about plot and characters, so your questions are really helpful.

As for preventing your thoughts from becoming the character's thoughts, I think that going for the most extreme version for the first draft might be helpful. Take the pressure off yourself and remind yourself that this is only the first draft. That way you know that what you're writing now isn't permanent and when you go back to edit it after you've finished writing the first draft, you can tone it down if you still feel that what your character is doing or saying is too harsh. You might find that after some time has passed (and some space in which you write the rest of your story) you don't think of what you wrote as so harsh or rude anymore.
